Place Setting

So many DIY projects.

One weekend, shortly before the wedding, Ryan and I visited my mom and dad in Marion. I had in mind that I wanted to make chargers out of scrapbook paper but hadn’t been able to make it work yet.

On this weekend we all got together and figured out a solution. I bought this great wrapping paper from Halmark (it’s actually the paper my mom used to wrap my shower present with), a pack of poster board and a can of spray mount.

We made an assembly line. Dad and Ryan cut out the wrapping paper in squares the size of poster board, mom sprayed the poster board down with spray mount and then we carefully spread the paper on the poster board.

Dad and Ryan then traced a circle on the back of the poster board and cut them into squares for me to cut out with fancy fluted scrapbooking scissors.

I love the way they turned out. Perfect!

The napkins are fun too. Mom bought these little charms the first time we went wedding shopping in January. We weren’t sure how to use them but she knew that we had to have them. I bought twine online and mom looked up how to fold napkins and we made these really cute little bundles.
